This app syncs contact pictures from WhatsApp with your local contact images and keeps them up to date. For this purpose this app needs root rights, otherwise an app like this can't access another apps data which is needed for the core functionality of this app.

This app has been deprecated in 2024. The interest in this app was very low and keeping it up with googles changing requirements was not worth the effort.
Description
CoSy - Contact Sync for WhatsApp syncs your WhatsApp friends images with your local phone contact images.
To use this app you need a ROOTED device!
This all works in 3 simple steps:
- Save your friends profile images in your gallery (manual part of the process)
- Link your contacts with your WhatsApp friends (tell the app which WhatsApp friend is which phone contact)
- Sync your images
